Here we are, met at the same crossroads once again
ਨਾ ਜਾਨੇ ਅਬ ਮਿਲੇਂਗੇ ਹਮ ਕਭੀ

Who knows if we will ever meet like this again

So what if our skies are different now?

This heart simply refuses to accept it
ਇਹ ਗਾੜੀਓਂ ਕੀ ਐਸੀ ਦੌੜ ਸਾ

Just like the frantic race of these cars

ਇਹ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਮੇਂ ਖਿੜਕੀਓਂ ਸੇ ਦੇਖ ਤੂ ਪਹਾੜੋਂ ਕੋ
iha AsamAna meM khi.DakIoM se dekha tU pahA.DoM ko
Gaze at the mountains through those windows in the sky
ਯੂੰ ਛੋਟੇ ਸੇ ਲਗੇ ਹੈਂ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਜੋ ਸਾਮਨੇ
yUM ChoTe se lage haiM kitane ba.De jo sAmane
They look so tiny, yet how massive they are when standing before us
ਦੂਰ ਜੋ ਹੈਂ ਖੜੇ
dUra jo haiM kha.De
Those peaks standing in the distance
ਉਨ੍ਹੇਂ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ
unheM bhI iha hamArI ja਼iMdagI
To them, this life of ours
ਯੂੰ ਤਿਤਲੀਓਂ ਸੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਸੀ ਲਗੇ
yUM titalIoM sI ChoTI ChoTI sI lage
Must seem as tiny and fleeting as butterflies
ਹੈਂ ਕਿਤਨੀ ਬੜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਨਤੇ
haiM kitanI ba.DI nahIM jAnate
They don't know how grand it truly feels to us
ਏਕ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਘਰ ਤੇਰਾ
eka kha਼AlI ghara terA
An empty house of yours
ਇਹ ਚਾਬੀਓਂ ਕੀ ਗੂੰਜ ਐਸੇ ਤੁਝੇ ਡਰਾ ਰਹੀ
iha chAbIoM kI gUMja aise tujhe DarA rahI
The echo of the keys is haunting you this way
ਤੂ ਡਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੂੰ ਯਹੀਂ ਪੇ
tU DaranA nahIM maiM hUM yahIM pe
But do not be afraid, for I am right here
ਅਬ ਅਲਗ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਹੈ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਭੀ
aba alaga AsamAna hai aura hai ja਼mIna bhI
Now the sky is different, and the ground is different too
ਕੁਛ ਅਲਗ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਮਿਲੋਗੇ ਜਬ ਕਭੀ
kuCha alaga sI para miloge jaba kabhI
It all feels a bit strange, but whenever we meet again
ਤੋ ਦੇਖਨਾ ਤਭੀ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਛ ਅਲਗ ਨਹੀਂ
to dekhanA tabhI maiM kuCha alaga nahIM
You will see then, that I haven't changed at all
