Once again, we have met at this crossroad
ਨਾ ਜਾਣੇ ਅਬ ਮਿਲੇਂਗੇ ਹਮ ਕਭੀ

Who knows if we will ever meet again
ਤੋ ਰੁਕ ਜਾਓ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਯਹਾਂ ਪੇ
to ruka jAo ika pala yahAM pe
So just stay for a moment right here
ਇਹ ਨਰਮ ਚਾਦਰਾਂ ਕੀ ਸਿਲਵਟੇਂ
iha narama chAdarAM kI silavaTeM
The creases upon these soft bedsheets
ਤੁਝੇ ਅਭੀ ਬੁਲਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈਂ
tujhe abhI bulA rahI haiM
Are still calling out to you
ਨਾ ਜਾਓ ਦੂਰ ਇਨਸੇ
nA jAo dUra inase
Do not distance yourself from them
ਕਹੇਂ ਇਹ ਸਕੂਨ ਕਹਾਂ ਪੇ ਹੈ ਹਾਸਿਲ
kaheM iha sakUna kahAM pe hai hAsila
They ask, where else can this peace be found?
ਦਿਲ ਕੋ ਮੇਰੇ
dila ko mere
To my heart
ਇਹ ਹੈ ਪਤਾ
iha hai patA
This much is known
ਕਿ ਮੀਲੋਂ ਕਾ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਾਸਲਾ ਹੈ
ki mIloM kA iha pha਼AsalA hai
That there are miles of distance between us
ਅਲੱਗ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਭੀ ਹੈ
alagga AsamAna bhI hai
The sky above us is different too
ਤੋ ਕਿਆ ਇਹ ਦਿਲ ਨਾ ਮਾਨੇ
to kiA iha dila nA mAne
But what of it? This heart refuses to accept it
ਇਹ ਗਾੜੀਆਂ ਕੀ ਐਸੀ ਦੌੜ ਸਾ
iha gA.DIAM kI aisI dau.Da sA
Like the frantic race of these vehicles
ਤੇਰਾ ਭੀ ਦਿਲ ਦੌੜਤਾ ਹੈ
terA bhI dila dau.DatA hai
Your heart is racing just the same
ਹਾਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਦੂਰ ਤੁਮ ਤੋ ਕਿਆ
hAM jA rahe ho dUra tuma to kiA
Yes, you are going far away, but so what?
ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਤੋ ਦਿਲ ਕਾ ਮੁਸਾਫ਼ਿਰ
maiM hI to dila kA musApha਼ira
I am the one who is the traveler of your heart
ਤੋ ਇਕ ਬਾਰ ਫਿਰ
to ika bAra phira
So just one more time
ਤੂੰ ਹੱਸ ਕੇ ਜ਼ਰਾ

With a little smile

dekha le
Look at me

ਇਹ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਮੇਂ ਖਿੜਕੀਆਂ ਸੇ
iha AsamAna meM khi.DakIAM se
From the windows of the plane into the sky
ਦੇਖ ਤੂੰ ਪਹਾੜੋਂ ਕੋ ਯੂੰ ਛੋਟੇ ਸੇ ਲਗੇ
dekha tUM pahA.DoM ko yUM ChoTe se lage
Look how the mountains seem so small from there
ਹੈਂ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਜੋ ਹੋ ਸਾਮਨੇ
haiM kitane ba.De jo ho sAmane
Yet how grand they are when you stand before them
ਦੂਰ ਜੋ ਹੈਂ ਖੜੇ
dUra jo haiM kha.De
Standing so far away
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਇਹ ਤਿਤਲੀਆਂ ਸੀ
unhAM hI hamArI ja਼iMdagI iha titalIAM sI
Just like that, our lives are like these butterflies
ਛੋਟੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਸੀ ਲਗੇ
ChoTI ChoTI sI lage
They seem so small and fleeting
ਹੈ ਕਿਤਨੀ ਬੜੀ
hai kitanI ba.DI
But how vast they truly are
ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਤੇ
nahIM jANate
We do not know
ਇਹ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਘਰ ਤੇਰਾ
iha kha਼AlI ghara terA
This empty house of yours
ਇਹ ਚਾਬੀਆਂ ਕੀ ਗੂੰਜ ਐਸੇ
iha chAbIAM kI gUMja aise
The echo of these keys ringing like this
ਤੁਝੇ ਡਰਾ ਰਹੀ
tujhe DarA rahI
Is trying to frighten you
ਤੋ ਡਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ
to DaranA nahIM
But do not be afraid
ਮੈਂ ਹੂੰ ਯਹੀਂ ਪਰ
maiM hUM yahIM para
I am right here
ਅਬ ਅਲੱਗ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ
aba alagga AsamAna hai
Now the sky is different
ਪਰ ਹੈ ਜ਼ਮੀਂ ਭੀ ਕੁਝ ਅਲੱਗ ਸੀ
para hai ja਼mIM bhI kujha alagga sI
And the ground beneath feels a bit different too
ਪਰ ਮਿਲੋਗੇ ਜਬ ਕਭੀ
para miloge jaba kabhI
But whenever we meet again
ਤੋ ਦੇਖਨਾ ਤਭੀ
to dekhanA tabhI
You shall see then
ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਅਲੱਗ ਨਹੀਂ
maiM kujha alagga nahIM
That I haven’t changed at all
