ਯੂੰ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਸੇ ਜੋ ਤੁਝਕੋ ਅਬ ਸੁਨ ਰਹੀ ਹੈਂ
yUM ja਼ora se jo tujhako aba suna rahI haiM
Which are now being heard by you so loudly
ਸੁਨ ਲੇ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਇਹ ਤੁਝਸੇ ਕਿਆ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਹੈਂ
suna le ja਼rA iha tujhase kiA kahi rahI haiM
Just listen closely to what they are telling you
ਆਏ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਨਕੇ ਥੇ ਵਾਦੇ ਵਕ਼ਤ ਉਲਝਾ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ
Ae nahIM jinake the vAde vaqata ulajhA hUA hai
Those whose promises you held haven't arrived, time has become entangled

ਹੈ ਜਾਦੂਗਰੀ ਆਜ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਮੇਂ ਹੈ ਬਾਕੀ

There is magic still remaining in your heart today
ਔਰ ਇਨ ਕਾਗਜ਼ੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਕਹੀਂ ਇਕ ਗੁਲ ਹੈ

And somewhere within these papers, there is a [Gul: flower; used here as a metaphor for a smile or hope]

AegA ika dina jaba unakI rAtAM yUM nA mahipha਼Uja਼ hogIM
A day will come when their nights will no longer feel so safe
ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਐਸੇ ਤੂ ਦੇਖ ਲੈਣਾ
tere tere binA aise tU dekha laiNA
Without you, just like that—you mark my words
