The marks left by your feet

Are etched upon my heart
ਲੋਗੋਂ ਕੀ
logoM kI
The words of people
ਲਹਿਰੋਂ ਸੀ ਹੈ ਬਾਤੋਂ ਸੇ
lahiroM sI hai bAtoM se
Are like fleeting waves
ਮਿਟੇਂਗੇ ਕਬ ਤੱਕ
miTeMge kaba takka
How long will they keep erasing them?
ਹੋ ਜਾਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਯਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ
ho jAnA tUM yAra mere
Oh, become mine, my `[Yaar: beloved/soulmate; carries deep emotional weight of loyalty]`
