ਧਰਤੀ ਧੰਨ ਹੋਈ ਧੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਅੰਬਰ

The earth has been blessed, and blessed is the firmament
ਸਭੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਮੁੱਕੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਜੀ
sabhe dukkha mukke sachche pAtasa਼Aha jI
All sorrows have ceased, O True Sovereign Lord
ਹੱਥ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਦਿਆਂ
hattha baMnhadiAM matthA TekadiAM
With folded hands and a humble bow
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਣ ਢੁੱਕੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਜੀ
tusIM ANa Dhukke sachche pAtasa਼Aha jI
You have arrived at my door, O True Sovereign Lord
ਹੇਠਾਂ ਚਾਨਣ ਦਾ ਦਰਿਆ ਵਗੇ
heThAM chAnaNa dA dariA vage
Beneath us flows a river of divine radiance
ਉੱਤੋਂ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ ਵਰਸੇ ਮੇਘ ਬਾਬਾ
uttoM mihara dA varase megha bAbA
Above, the clouds of your grace shower down, [Baba: a term of respect and affection for a grandfatherly figure or saint]
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਾਏ ਪੈਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ
jinhAM thAvAM te pAe paira tusIM
In those very places where you set foot
ਉੱਥੇ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਵਰਤੇ ਦੇਗ ਬਾਬਾ
utthe ajja vI varate dega bAbA
Even today, the [Degh: ceremonial sacred food/cauldron of bounty] remains eternal, Baba

You are the bursting fountain of divine light
ਤੂੰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੇਖਾ ਏ
tUM rausa਼nIAM dI rekhA e
You are the ultimate line of illumination
ਇੱਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸੱਚਾ
ikka terA hI darabAra sachchA
Your court alone is the dwelling of truth
ਬਾਕੀ ਸਭ ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲੇਖਾ ਏ
bAkI sabha bharama bhulekhA e
All else is but a mirage or a fleeting delusion
ਤੇਰਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣ ਵੈਰਾਗ ਹੋਵੇ

Hearing your [Shabad: sacred hymn/divine word], a deep longing awakens

There is no blessing like the sight of your presence
ਤੇਰੇ ਬੰਕੇ ਲੋਇਣ ਦੰਤ ਰਸਾਲਾ
tere baMke loiNa daMta rasAlA
Your eyes are enchanting, your teeth like pearls of nectar
ਸੋਹਣੇ ਨੱਕ ਜਿਨ ਲੰਮੜੇ ਵਾਲਾ
sohaNe nakka jina laMma.De vAlA
With a beautiful nose and long, flowing tresses
ਕੰਚਨ ਕਾਇਆ ਸੋਨੇ ਕੀ ਢਾਲਾ
kaMchana kAiA sone kI DhAlA
Your physique is radiant, cast in a mold of pure gold
ਤੇਰੇ ਰੂਪ ਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ ਨਹੀਂ
tere rUpa jihA koI rUpa nahIM
There is no form that compares to your divine form
ਤੇਰੀ ਦੀਦ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਰਸਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ
terI dIda jihA parasAda nahIM
There is no blessing like the sight of your presence
ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ ਤੂੰ
sarabatta dA bhalA sikhAiA tUM
You taught us the [Sarbat da Bhala: the altruistic wish for the welfare of all humanity]
ਕੋਈ ਘਾਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਧ ਨਹੀਂ
koI ghATa nahIM koI vAdha nahIM
There is no deficiency, nor any excess in your path
ਤੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡ ਦਾ
tUM keMdara biMdU brahimaMDa dA
You are the central point of the entire universe
ਤੂੰ ਸਿਰਜੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਖੇਡ ਬਾਬਾ
tUM sirajI sArI kheDa bAbA
You are the architect of this whole cosmic play, Baba
ਜਦੋਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਦਸਵਾਂ ਜਾਮਾ ਤੂੰ
jadoM pAiA dasavAM jAmA tUM
And when you donned the [Dasvan Jama: the tenth robe/form, referring to Guru Gobind Singh Ji]
ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫੜ ਲਈ ਤੇਗ ਬਾਬਾ
hatthAM vicha pha.Da laI tega bAbA
You took up the [Tegh: a broad-bladed sword symbolizing justice] in your hands, Baba
