ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੱਬ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ

They ask, "Where is your God? He is nowhere to be seen."
ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ
maiM kihA akkhAM baMda kara dhiAna dhara mahisUsa kara
I say, "Close your eyes, meditate [Dhiaan: focused spiritual contemplation], and feel His presence."
ਇਹ ਮਸਲਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਹੈ
iha masalA bAhara dI akkha dA nahIM aMdara dA hai
This is not a matter for the external eye; it belongs to the soul within.

ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਭ ਛਾਵਾਂ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ ਕੁੰਜ ਮੁੱਖ 'ਤੇ
uha kahiMde sabha ChAvAM kara giA kuMja mukkha 'te
They say, "He cast a shadow of grace over the face of the world,"
ਤੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਾੜ ਕਿੱਦਾਂ ਰੁਕ ਜਾਵੇ
te nAle paMje nAla pahA.Da kiddAM ruka jAve
"But how could a mountain be stopped by a single palm?"
ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਭਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਰਮਜ਼ ਹੈ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਹੈ
maiM kihA bharama nahIM iha ramaja਼ hai saMketa hai
I say, "This is no delusion; it is a [Ramz: a divine secret or mystical sign], a sacred hint,"
ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਰਿੜਦਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੁਕ ਜਾਵੇ
ki ikka visa਼vAsa jisa nAla ri.DadA patthara ruka jAve
"That a single grain of faith can halt a rolling boulder."
ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਦੱਸ ਕੀ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਭਲਾ
uha kahiMde dassa kI sAbata karanA chAhuMdA tUM bhalA
They ask, "Tell us, what exactly are you trying to prove?"
ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ

Neither through writing nor through speech can His magnitude be told.
ਕਿ ਮਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਤੋਲ ਕੇ
ki miNatI vicha nahIM AuMdA kI karAMge tola ke
He cannot be measured; what use is there in trying to weigh His worth?
ਕਿੰਨਾ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ ਨਾ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ

They say, "You fool, the world has already reached the moon!"

Step out from the false shadows and embrace the sunshine of Truth and Righteousness.
ਤੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਏਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰ
tUM huNa takka boladA AiA eM pahilAM chuppa kara
You have been speaking all this while; first, learn the grace of silence.
ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਏ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਲੈ ਵਕਤ ਨਾਲ
khilArA pai giA e ikaTThA kara lai vakata nAla
A mess has been scattered; gather your soul while there is still time.
ਕਿ ਮਰਨਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਊ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਗਤ ਨਾਲ
ki maranA aukhA ho jAU mUMha nA pAiA jagata nAla
For death will become a heavy burden if you remain entangled with the world.
ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਖਾ ਲਓ ਪੀ ਲਓ ਸੌਂ ਜਾਓ ਲੰਮੀਆਂ ਤਾਣ ਕੇ
uha kahiMde khA lao pI lao sauM jAo laMmIAM tANa ke
They say, "Just eat, drink, and sleep a deep, carefree slumber."

tamAsa਼A takkadA takkadA tUM tamAsa਼A baNa nA jAvIM oe
While watching this worldly spectacle, take care that you don't become a spectacle yourself.
ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਰਦੇ 'ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ

For on the screen of this world, nothing remains forever.
