edAM kare sa਼ukarAnA
He offers such profound gratitude
ਏਕੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਪੁਜਾਰੀ
ekaMkAra dA pujArI
A worshiper of the One Creator [Ek Onkar]
ਇਹਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਮਾਰੀ
ihanUM nAma dI kha਼umArI
He is intoxicated by the Divine Name
ਮੋਢੇ ਸਬਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਰੀ
moDhe sabarAM dI kha਼ArI
On His shoulder rests a basket of patience
ਸੱਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਅੱਗ ਚੀਰ

His Truth pierces through the very fire

jAta pAta nUM nA maMne
He does not believe in the divisions of caste
ਸਗੋਂ ਮੋਹ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਾਲੇ
sagoM moha te piAra vAle
Instead, the seeds of attachment and love
ਬੀਜਦਾ ਏ ਗੰਨੇ
bIjadA e gaMne
Are the sugarcane he sows in hearts
ਭੁੱਖ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਨਾ ਵੇਖੇ
bhukkha kise dI nA vekhe
He cannot bear to see another's hunger
ਸਭ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਡਾਢੇ ਲੇਖੇ
sabha lAuMdA DADhe lekhe
He credits everything to the Almighty's account
ਲੋਕੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ
lokI rakkhade bhulekhe
People live under a great delusion
ਨੀ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅਮੀਰ

But Sister Nanki identified His divinity

bAbA kalA nI dikhAuMdA
The Baba does not perform empty miracles
ਮੰਨੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ
maMne mAlaka de bhANe
He accepts the Master’s Will as supreme

He stops falling boulders with His palm [Panja Sahib]

khANI hakka dI sikhAuMdA
He teaches us to earn an honest living
ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੈ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ
miTTI vichchoM hai kamAuMdA
He harvests his sustenance from the soil
ਵੀਤ ਬੁੱਝੇ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਪੀਰ
