With furrows of fury etched upon my brow

Wounds earned upon a mighty chest

Embers of fire in these eyes

In your royal treasuries
ਇੱਕੋ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਆਸਰਾ

The only sanctuary and hope
ਮੇਰੇ ਦੀਵਾਨੇ ਦਾ
mere dIvAne dA

Do not care for the world's taunts or shame
ਸਮਝਣ ਜੋ ਜਿੰਦ ਪਿਆਰੀ
samajhaNa jo jiMda piArI
Those who hold their lives too dear
ਜਿੱਤਦੇ ਉਹ ਜੰਗਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ
jittade uha jaMgAM nahIM
Never emerge victorious in wars
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਸੱਚ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ
hirade sachcha rakkhaNa vAlA
One who keeps truth within their heart
ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਭਰ ਭਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ

ਪਾਸੇ ਹਟ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ
pAse haTa pUrA karanA
Step aside, for I must fulfill
ਸੋਧੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ
sodhe hoe paranAM nUM
The sacred vows I have sworn

The tides of such great nations
