My heart finds constant delight in Him, who wears the young moon upon His brow.
He is the companion of the daughter of the mountain king, who finds joy in her playful grace,
Whose mind is filled with bliss as His radiance spreads to the corners of the universe,
Whose compassionate glance can restrain even the most relentless calamities,
May my mind find its thrill in that supreme being who is [Digambara: sky-clad; one who wears the directions as his garment].
The luster of the jewels on the hoods of the serpents entwined in His hair reflects a reddish hue,
Smeared with the liquid of saffron and sandalwood, like a bride's face glowing across the horizon,
Clad in the shimmering skin of a mighty intoxicated elephant,
May my mind find wonderful delight in the Lord of all living beings.
Hail, hail, Lord Shiva, the granter of peace, the dark-throated master of the [Damru],
Inhabitant of Kashi and Mount Kailash, conqueror of death, Lord of spirits, and the supreme Giver,
Dwell here now, Your sight is the harbinger of all well-being.
O Daughter of the Mountain, who gladdens the earth, who delights the universe, praised by the son of Nanda,
Dweller on the peaks of the Vindhya mountains, who brings joy to Lord Vishnu, and is praised by Indra,
O Goddess, consort of the blue-throated Shiva, who has the whole world as Her family and performs many great deeds,
Victory, victory to You, O slayer of the demon Mahishasura, with beautiful locks of hair, Daughter of the Mountain.
Om, salutations to Lord Shiva; Om, salutations to Lord Shiva; Om, salutations to Lord Shiva.
